Collective Insight is a small technology startup based in Washington, DC (formerly Austin, TX) with two active hats:
- Software development. We are building CommunityGoals, a Web application that empowers groups to raise money and accomplish goals together.
- Software consulting. We also offer software consulting services relating to Web application development. We prefer to use Ruby for software development, whether it be Ruby on Rails or Merb + DataMapper.
Significance of our name
- Collective represents the increasing importance of a community in decision making, solving problems, establishing trust, and rating products and services
- Insight signifies both knowledge and wisdom. Individuals and organizations need more insight in their decision making
